Independent Canadian study resource

Practice material you can understand—and sources you can check

CanadaDrivingTests.ca is operated by Simplesteps Education Inc. We build independent learner-driver practice for British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Manitoba.

Written independently

We write our own questions, choices and explanations. We use public driving rules as research inputs without claiming access to official exam questions or reproducing handbook wording.

Checked against primary sources

We link to the current licensing authority or government source so learners can verify requirements directly. The official source takes priority whenever information changes.

Corrected transparently

Every province page includes a correction link and review date. We investigate reported issues, update confirmed errors and change the review date when a substantive check is completed.

Our method

How a practice question is prepared

  1. Identify a useful rule or skill. We start with a learner need such as right-of-way, signs, safe following distance or licensing responsibilities.
  2. Confirm the current source. We check the relevant government, licensing-authority or statutory source and record what was reviewed.
  3. Write an original scenario. The question and explanation are written in plain language for practice; they are not presented as official wording.
  4. Check clarity and correctness. We review the answer, alternatives, explanation and source link before publishing or materially updating the page.
